Christmas is upon us once again…. Shrewsbury is such a charming place at this time of year. The indoor market is fantastic for presents with locally produced gifts and really amazing food…it was the source of inspiration for my ‘secret santa!’ I easily got all my presents sorted this year…. along with a trip to Tanners.

We are in the Christmas spirit at Belmont and looking forward to a well-earned rest. It has been a very busy year, orthodontics continues to be in demand not just for children but also with more and more adults signing up. Lingual orthodontics continues to be popular……I am just back from another fantastic meeting in Paris where many of my European colleagues run practices offering nothing but lingual treatment for adults. With no subsidised orthodontics for children it seems that people generally embark on treatment later on in life and therefore demand the best aesthetics that lingual offers. Clearly a different mind-set to what we have here in the UK.

I also popped into the Christmas markets while I was over there and would favour our local market any day…..especially after getting my bag stolen!! A lovely memory of my trip although the gendarmerie where very helpful.
