About Our Practice

Wow- my teeth have moved so much! In three weeks my lowers are definitely straighter, my joy when looking in the mirror completely surpasses the first week of tenderness. There was no spontaneous pain, only when eating and bringing my teeth together, no big deal and I didn’t take any pain killers. This put me off snacking (a good thing ) and I stuck to very soft foods, which is sometimes difficult but thanks to Sarnies spinach and mushroom roll I didn’t go hungry at lunch times…! I love crusty seeded bread but I quickly learnt that there’s still plenty of foods’ that I can eat safely.
This is important as eating the wrong foods i.e. too hard/sticky can cause the attachments to break which may slow down my treatment?..and there’s no way I’m letting that happen…
“Woowa” wire is holding up to its claims with the white coating still intact. So far no regrets, and most people don’t even notice until they’re up close. In fact I am particularly impressed with the aesthetics of these new Clarity brackets, I will post another picture later on.
I look forward to my first wire change with glee!

Covid 19

As you will know, the Prime Minister has confirmed that public restrictions have been significantly eased on 19th July.
Under the Government’s guidance “Health and care settings will continue to maintain appropriate infection prevention and control processes as necessary and this will be continually reviewed. Guidance will be updated based on the latest clinical evidence this summer.

With this in mind, we are asking all patients/visitors/chaperones to the Practice to adhere to the following:

  • If you need to come into the surgery for an appointment, please remember that social distancing remains in place in the dental practice and to wear a face covering upon entering the building.
  • The use of the  intercom system will remain in use for the foreseeable future

Every dental practice is working extremely hard to provide care to our patients within the restrictions and guidance to ensure it’s safe to visit the dentist.

We hope that this helps clarify why these measures are in place for every NHS dental practice.
